From the days when Jaque Cuestau showed the world some of the very first footage of ship wrecks at the bottom of the ocean floor, he caught the world’s imagination and intrigue. Many of the greatest and most famous dive sites in the world are wrecks from all periods, most popular being the historical WW2 wrecks scattered all over the world’s oceans.

Learning to become a PADI Wreck diver specialist is one of the most rewarding specialist diver training courses available that will open a whole new experience of diving.

The Benefits

The fun part of the PADI Wreck Diver course is diving on our local wrecks, gaining knowledge and dive experience allowing you to see things that others overlook. If you have a fascination with history you will be in paradise as some of the exciting parts about wreck diving is learning the wrecks history.

What you learn

  • Skills for exploring shipwrecks, and how to avoid common hazards
  • How to research and learn the background of your favourite ship wrecks
  • Wreck diving safety equipment considerations
  • Considerations and dive techniques for entering intact wrecks
  • Experience in dive planning, organizing and making at least four wreck dives under the supervision of your PADI Wreck specialist Instructor

The Dive Gear You Use

You use all the standard dive gear including a dive computer, some accessories and a dive light.

The PADI Wreck Diver crew pack helps you preview the skills you will practice during your open water dives.

Prerequisites

To enrol in the PADI Wreck Diver course, you must

  • Be 15 years or older
  • Have a PADI Adventure Diver (not yet on site map) certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization)

Path to Master Scuba Diver

If you have already completed the PADI Open Water course then you are no doubt eager to learn more. Continuing your diver education cannot be more beneficial to you as a diver.

It should be the goal of every diver to pursue the status of Master Scuba Diver. Continue your diver education up to Rescue diver and complete 5 PADI specialties of your choice to receive your MASTER SCUBA DIVER status.
