Peak Performance Buoyancy

€135.00

Neutral buoyancy! Scuba divers like to be neutrally buoyant so they neither sink nor float. It can be a tricky thing to master. Achieving a high level of good buoyancy control is mandatory for becoming a well respected diver. The Peak Performance Buoyancy course refines the basic skills you learned as a PADI Open Water Diver and elevates them to the next level.

The Benefits

Divers with a mastery of good buoyancy control use less air, dive with less weight and interact with the underwater world in a graceful and non-intrusive manner. Once you have mastered perfect buoyancy you will begin to feel the exhilaration of pure weightlessness which is usually the key factor that divers get hooked on.

What You Learn

  • How to trim-line your dive gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water
  • Determining weight so you’re not too light nor too heavy in the water
  • How to relax into good buoyancy; which saves air and allows you to move smoothly through the water
  • Mastery of hovering effortlessly in both a vertical position and a horizontal position

The Dive Gear You Use

You use all your standard dive gear you are used to.

The Learning Materials Included

The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy video on DVD provides an overview of the skills you’ll practice with your diving instructor. It comes with an enclosed booklet that includes a buoyancy assessment questionnaire and basic weighting guidelines.
