The Assistant Instructor course forms the first part of the full Instructor Development Course (IDC). Upon successful completion of the course you can conduct knowledge development presentations, evaluate Open Water Diver surface skills, teach the Peak Performance Buoyancy and Project AWARE Specialty courses.

Requirements

• PADI Divemaster Certification or equivalent with a minimum of 60 logged dives.
• Minimum age is 18 years,
• Current Diving medical (within 2 years)
• You will need to purchase a copy of the PADI instructor manual

Please note there are additional cost that you must pay directly to PADI for your membership and insurance. This allows you to gain “Teaching status” these charges are made yearly by all diving professionals and never exceed more than $pound;200 or €300 per year.
